Tips for Using a Blog in a Classroom

1. Teachers can create a blog and offer extra credit to students who post comments on the blog.

2. Students can create blog related to the content of class. I.e. if students are studying Utah history thay can create blogs that highlight historical places in the state.

3. Teachers can create a classroom blog that highlights activities the class is participating in. The blog can be accessed by parents and students.

4. Students can create a school blog. The blog would feature a calendar of events, samples of students work, and important things to know about the school. The blog could provide an informal forum for parents, teachers, and

students to communicate.
